Brief Information: Indian Coast Guard has released a recruitment notification for Assistant Commandant positions in General Duty, Commercial Pilot License (SSA), and Technical (Engineering & Electrical) categories for the 01-2023 Batch. Age Limit (as on 01-07-2023)

the age eligibility criteria for the various positions in the Indian Coast Guard 01-2023 Batch recruitment:

• General Duty: Candidates should be born between July 1, 1998, and July 30, 2003 (both dates inclusive), and their age should be between 21 and 25 years.
• Commercial Pilot Entry (CPL-SSA): Candidates should be born between July 1, 1998, and June 30, 2004 (both dates inclusive), and their age should be between 19 and 25 years.
• Technical (Mechanical): Candidates should be born between July 1, 1998, and June 30, 2002 (both dates inclusive).
• Technical (Engineering & Electrical): Candidates should be born between July 1, 1998, and June 30, 2002 (both dates inclusive), and their age should be between 21 and 25 years.
• Law Entry: Candidates should be born between July 1, 1993, and June 30, 2002 (both dates inclusive), and their age should be between 21 and 30 years.

Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Medical Standards

Height:

• Asst Commandant (GD), Technical: Minimum 157 cm. Height reduction for hilly and tribal areas as per Central Govt. rules.
• Asst Commandant (CPL-SSA) (Men/Women): Min 162.5 cm, Max 197 cm. Leg length min 99 cm.

Weight: Proportionate to height and age, +10% acceptable.

Chest: Well proportioned, min expansion 5 cm.

Eye Sight:

• Asst. Commandant (GD): 6/6 6/9 – Uncorrected without Glass.
  • Corrected: 6/6 6/6 – With Glass.
• Asst. Commandant: 6/6 in one eye, 6/9 in other.
  • CPL holders (SSA): Correctable to 6/6.
• Asst. Commandant (Tech): 6/36 6/36 – Uncorrected without Glass.
  • Corrected: 6/6 6/6 – With Glass.

Vacancy Details

• General Duty: There are 25 vacancies. The required educational qualification is a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Tech: There are 20 vacancies. The required educational qualification is 12th standard and a Degree in Engineering.
• Law: There is 01 vacancy. The required educational qualification is a Law degree.
