NITI Aayog is a policy think tank of the Government of India, established in 2015 to replace the Planning Commission. NITI Aayog focuses on actualizing India’s Sustainable Development Goals and strengthening cooperative federalism by promoting the involvement of Indian governments in the economic policy-making process using a bottom-up approach.
Government of India – Development Monitoring and Evaluation Authority
DMEO, an associate office of NITI Aayog, is the apex for monitoring and evaluation
office in the country. It is mandated to conduct flagship and follow-up evaluations on behalf of the Government of India, as well as develop and implement a results-based monitoring framework to drive evidence-based policy-making by central and state governments. It came up with the now established Outputs and Outputs Monitoring Framework (OOMF) for all central sectors and centrally sponsored schemes of central ministries/departments and conducted the Global Indices of Reforms and Growth exercise. It has also started work on improving the quality and use of digital data in governance through its Data Governance Quality Index (DGQI) exercise. At its core is DMEO
works to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation ecosystem in the country and constantly strives to reach out to states, central and administrative educational institutions, knowledge institutions, think tanks, national and international bodies by making monitoring and evaluation know-how and practice accessible to all stakeholders at all levels in the country to improve the delivery of public services and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of governance as a whole. To meet the expectations of stakeholders due to its expanding and growing work, DMEO is now seeking the services of Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (Consultant Grade II), Head of Communications, Publications and Branding (Consultant Grade I), Head of Data Science and Data Analytics (Consultant Grade I) and Young Professionals to support DMEO’s initiatives and engagements with the Government of India,
State governments, training institutions and other external stakeholders.

Duration The appointment would be purely on contractual basis for a fixed period of two years, extendable by one year at a time up to a maximum period of five years i.e. 2+1+1+1 years from the date the candidate joins the assignment. However, since this is a contractual arrangement, the contract may be terminated at any time by the competent authority without giving reasons.
Remuneration (Monthly) Rs. 1.45 Lakh to Rs. 2.65 Lakh (Consolidated including all)
Educational qualifications
Necessary
Postgraduate degree or equivalent in Science/Economics/Statistics/Operations Research/Public Policy/Development Studies/Business Administration/Management; or BE/B.Tech or MBBS or LLB or CA or ICWA or having any professional degree obtained after 4 or more years of study obtained after 10+2
Desirable
Preference would be given to those with Ph.D, additional qualification, research experience, published articles and post qualification experience in relevant field.

Total professional experience should be 8-15 years with a minimum of 5 years of experience in program monitoring, evaluation, research or related fields. Multi-sectoral experience (a combination of national/international public, private and civil sectors) is preferred.
Relevant research experience at an appropriate level supported by an appropriate publication record.

Candidates with experience applying cutting-edge technologies in surveys, data analysis, rigorous econometric analysis of large data sets are encouraged and/or
